i wonder if some days dr. crenshaw ever regrets that she created the intersectionality theory, now knowing what it has become.

Right? I feel bad for her.

Oh among their greatest hits I think they took 'sex workers rights' off the platform but 'Janet' Mock made them put it back on. http://twitter.com/MeghanEMurphy/status/821525901657579520 He went on a dumb hashtag rant about it here too: http://twitter.com/janetmock/status/821484840868528128

http://twitter.com/MeghanEMurphy/status/821750540828712960

FUCK YOU, 'Janet'. This literally isn't about you, gtfo. If he cares so much why doesn't he just organize his own fucking 'sexy' twanz March?

Janet said Period. He's such a trans misogynist.

http://dailykos.com/story/2017/01/17/1621553/-Huh-Women-s-March-removes-sex-workers-rights-from-their-Unity-Principles

lol- I used to follow this person on Twitter because she used to write pretty cool things advocating for rape survivors but she wrote a horrible piece expressing concern about whether the March is 'conservative' because it took away sex worker's rights from its agenda. Um..it's hilarious that anyone would call opposing 'sex work' conservative . Two of the most pro-sex work publications are The Economist and Reason, the Koch-funded libertarian magazine with headlines like 'feminists are hysterical about rape culture!!1'

This writer was never in the sex industry btw. She is a sexual assault survivor and has spoken a lot about that which I respect her for but she hasn't done any work or research to be in a position to talk about 'sex work'. The only reason she is taking this position is because she has influential libfem friends and she will get kicked out of their stupid club if she doesn't toe the party line.

Protest Trump by defending men like Trump's right to buy prostitutes. Riiiiight.

Women's March*

  • excludes former prostituted women, women unhappy with sharing space with males, women who disagree with men buying young women and children.

but includes women who try to opt out of womanhood, men in dresses with woman feels, and plain old men.

The online space has been made a safe space by deleting all the posts and closing posting. So... there's nothing there? Is anyone supposed to be impressed by how "safe" a closed web page on Facebook is? The last paragraph is just heavily sugarcoated (and false) oppression Olympics written to shame women into agreeing. Some animals are more equal than others.

The latest- did you guys know the pink hats are transphobic? http://bitchmedia.org/article/pink-flag-what-message-do-pussy-hats-really-send

Oh my gosh..I'm dying XD Don't get me wrong the article makes some good points but it finds the idea that all women have vaginas particularly triggering..I hate the hats too, but this is really fucking dumb. Not everything has to be about men's feelings. Like, most of the horrible things Trump said about women don't translate to MTTs at all. Punishing women who have abortions, 'blood coming out of her wherever' etc..

I wonder if anyone's called Trump transphobic for the pussy-grabbing comment yet. Some chicks get grabbed by their dicks, shitlord!

YES!!! vulvas are transphobic and those libfems are wearing them anyway in Madison!!! I don't think they know....

ha!!! i was waiting for this to happen!

Hey, Women's March organizers: MtT are not and never will be women.

Also, how can't you see that "transmisogyny" is a word made up by men?

So, thanks for allowing trans to shut down comments.

i can bet that shit was a peak trans moment for a lot of people.

Transmisogyny is one of the stupidest concepts I have ever heard of. "Don't hate on me because I mutilated my body to conform to my own limited perception of the biological binary. And by the way, yes, hate includes not viewing me as a dating prospect. My penis is female."

I more and more don't want to participate in this march, but I keep reminding myself that I don't want my mother-in-law to go alone, that this march should ultimately be for women and as a woman I need to show unity, and that there are (hopefully) other gender criticals going, too.

This just goes to show where the concentration of power is in women's movements and how empathetic women are (especially to males).

Edit: That being said, and on an unrelated note, if there are any of you marching in Seattle, PM me a way to find you (or, if uncomfortable, I can let you know who I am and where to find me).

i second your comment. being a black lesbian i and many of my friends who are women of color have their reservations about going but i have been encouraging them to go anyway, because we might meet other women who are just as pissed off but showed up in hopes of finding other pissed off women to befriend lol. that said, if anybody in oklahoma is going to the march at the state capitol and doesnt want to be alone, send me a PM.

I would like to say I support the comment too, and to celebrate, for a moment, that there is another black lesbian here.

"Then there's a pair of us — don't tell! They'd banish us, you know."

If we don't turn up, we're letting them own our space uncontested. But I get it.
