Was watching this passable movie at work when I realized the recurring MGTOW themes:

(SPOILERS, Don't Worry, the movie sucked.)

Tom Hanks wakes up w/ memory loss and is instantly helped by an all to accepting female that seem like she might have past baggage.

He trusts her without a moments doubt and they; thogether forge forward on figuring out why he has memory loss.

Fast forward to the middle of the film when this female "friend" is actually the reason he has memory loss in the first place and it is all to fulfil her evil plan of killing off half the planet with a virus because "the black plague made the population less fat" i.e. **kill off all the non-chads.

So basically this broad cheats Tom Hanks for half the film, leading him down conviluted path after conviluted path.

The kicker of it all is Tom Hanks's plea for Felicity Jones to not release the virus at the end of the film:

You can fix the problem in other ways, yell about it, protest about INVENT SOMETHING!

I all out laughed when he said "invent something" and I guess she did to because she activated a det-charge killing herself instantly.

Tl;Dr Ron Howard and Tom Hanks are secretly based MGTOW.
