Alt-Right, short for Alternative Right, is a set of far-right ideologies, groups and individuals whose core belief is that “white identity” is under attack by multicultural forces using “political correctness” and “social justice” to undermine white people. Characterized by heavy use of social media and online memes, Alt-Righters eschew “establishment” conservatism, skew young, and embrace white ethno-nationalism as a fundamental value. The Alternative Right is a term coined in 2008 by Richard Bertrand Spencer, who heads the white nationalist think tank known as the National Policy Institute, to describe a loose set of far-right ideals centered on “white identity” and the preservation of “Western civilization.”

The alt-right is a political movement, an alternative to standard right wing politics which does not have the best interests of the nation's people in mind. It's generally accepted that the popularity of the term "alt-right" is attributed to Richard Spencer of the National Policy Institute, although the term has been used in different contexts before Spencer used it. There's no official definition of the alt-right, but the it may be able to be more or less defined by its goals. The alt-right celebrates true diversity and recognizes that every race/culture is unique and worth preserving. Naturally, the alt-right rejects forced diversity/multiculturalism and prefers all unique cultures and people to flourish and thrive in their unique homogeneity. They demand protection from third world outsourcing and supports tariffs designed to protect domestic industry. They favor nationalist economies with a focus on local industry and small businesses. Preservation of the environment from globalist pollution is also imperative. The alt-right is against super-PACs and foreign elites purchasing elections. They respect honesty regarding sexual differences and promotes healthy relationships between men and women. The alt-right rejects political correctness and cultural marxism. It values freedom of debate in regards to topics such as race, history, sex etc. The alt-right rejects being forced to betray their beliefs in exchange for anything which would threaten their societies way of life.
