Guys, Men, please tell me why a man would repeatedly "go ghost" on his S/O for 1-2 days every couple of months?

Well, there is no better feeling sometimes then just getting away from everyone and everything for a couple days and having a change in scenery but having said that, if you're engaged, he should be open and honest with you about where he's going. Trust and communication are so important in a marriage. I'm wondering by what you've said here if there's something about himself that he's afraid to share with you for whatever reason (and not saying cheating, could be anything, like example he's a closet nudist?). Again, honesty and communication (which creates trust) is so important and if you don't have that going in even, I'd maybe give marriage a second thought? Talk to him about why he's hiding the locations and why you would be mad. He needs to be open and honest with you especially.

That's just odd behaviour in my opinion. I like to just "be" also, but would love it if my SO would come along too.

Sounds like to me COMMUNICATION isn't a strong point in this relationship. I would be like UH WHAT? Tracked by GPS? MF tell me where you are going and why? What is this mystery marathon shit? And why would you be MAD? This has serious issues written all over it.

I don't know, sounds like he has a vice. He kind of hinted in the last sentence, "You will see it is not cheating, but you will be more mad when you see the locations."

Maybe gambling or drugs. At the very least it's a strip club, which he doesn't consider cheating.

I'd often like to know these things myself. Men seem to rarely act as well as they used to anymore. Guys should always keep in touch with their woman. Even at long distance, at least once a day. I often feel the only gentlemen left in the world are the men in my family with so many of these sorts of complaints.

I get how he could want a few days for breathing room, I feel the same and kind of need it to recharge my batteries. The last part though is pretty odd.

You clearly understand the " man cave " concept , so I believe this is similar. Men do need time where they are simply left alone , this is why men dump women , for always nagging , complaining , talking " at " the man in question , this is why I did , in addition to her chronic laziness & lack of any appreciation.
