After sitting for many years, Dad decided to have the car restored. In 2010 and 2011, Baker's Auto in Putnam, CT did an extensive restoration. Dad spent over $40k on all the work which included a complete review of all the mechanicals (brakes/fuel system/transmission, etc), new interior/upholstery for seats/trunk lining, had the car painted and re-chromed. All the dents and scratches were addressed and the finish is excellent (see photos). Car has less than 1k miles since restoration. Serious buyers are welcome to contact me and I'm happy to provide contact info for the restorers.
With this work completed, this car is an excellent daily driver / Sunday driver but is not yet to "Show Car" standard. I just want to be clear about that point. Dad wanted a reliable, good driving car and that is exactly what Baker's delivered. If you have never driven a Lincoln of this vintage, it is like sitting on your couch at home as you go down the road -- so smooth!
We replaced the front tires and changed the oil within the last 50 miles.
We are about 40 miles west of Philadelphia and about the same distance east of Harrisburg. We can arrange to meet you at PHL Airport if you are coming from out of state. Also, happy to work with you and your shipper if you are going to have the car transported.
My dad was the only driver of this car and his passing is the reason we are selling. This really is a one-owner vehicle. Thanks for looking at our listing!
