“Revisionist WWII propaganda in the room”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 January 2016

We chose this hotel since it was close to the airport and had a free airport shuttle. When we arrived we learned the shuttle only runs in the morning and the evening, which was useless to us as our flight left in the afternoon. Very frustrating since we now had to haul our bags ourselves via the metro.

The room was tiny but clean, but I was very shocked to find two books left out in the room (and available for sale, I later discovered) written by Seiji Fuji, the pen name of the president of this hotel chain. The book was full of all kinds of absurd claims like the Nanking massacre was invented by the Chinese, the comfort women of WWII were happy, well paid prostitutes who enjoyed playing sports in their free time, and a "sorry not sorry" explanation of Pearl Harbor and the claim that the US blew up the USS Arizona themselves and blamed Japan.

People are entitled to their own crazy opinion, but putting this kind of offensive writing in a hotel room used by many foreigners is in bad taste. My grandmother and her family were imprisoned in a Japanese concentration camp during the war, and I was very offended by this blatant rewriting of history, especially under the guise of "educating foreigners on the real history of Japan." If I had known, I never would have booked this hotel and supported this kind of ridiculous nonsense. I enjoyed my time in Japan and the friendliness of Japanese people, but this ended our vacation on a sour note.

We stayed one night at this hotel.
Our room was on the 7th floor in a corner. The size of the room was absolutely fine based on japanese standards. Based on other reviews we expected much less space.
The beds were very comfortable. The WiFi connection worked well. The bathroom was of standard japanese dimensions. Absolutely fine also.
Check in and check out was very easy and quick.
We used the shuttle for the airport. Since the hotel is very close to the JR and the Keisei train stations it would be easy to go to the airport and come from there by train if the hotel shuttle schedule does not fit. The hotel is literally next (on the right) from the Keisei Narita train station.
There are plenty of restaurants in the neighborhood and the AEON mall is in walkable distance.
I would not hesitate to stay in that hotel again.

We stayed here the night before we flew out, hence needed to be close to the airport. Free shuttle bus to the airport which is conveniently located across the road: the hotel is a 5 minute walk from the train station. We did this with two huge cases and wasn't too hard! The room is small but it has everything you need :) as in, really small! Don't book this room f you want space, luckily we spent our time outside of the hotel room. But, it's good value for money. The surrounding area is good, short walk to temples and tasty Japanese!

Like most guests, we booked this hotel for its location and cheap price. With low expectations, it was nice to find it was not too dated and clean.

Yes, the room was small - especially the bed though the bathroom was run-of-the-mill for similar cheap hotels in Japan.

Check in/out was a modern affair with self-service terminals and the Lawson convenience store was a plus too.

A tip - get to Narita on a Keisei train and the hotel is right next door. The JR train station is a bit further but there's a great Takoyaki (octopuss balls) take-away inbetween - YUM!

My partner and I stayed at this hotel the night we arrived at Narita airport, as we were very tired and didn't want to have to travel into Tokyo late at night! It was very cheap, (I think around $65 for the night), the reception staff were very accomodating, breakfast was decent - a selection of japanese style foods, tea and coffee, and there's a train station literally right next door. BEWARE the rooms are very small, there is a double bed and a table/TV and there's barely anywhere to put your suitcases. However, we were expecting this! Overall, the hotel is perfect for a short stay or overnight rest if you're arriving at Narita airport late at night.
