Trading volume at the main Chinese exchanges steadily dropping for the last 10 days. Should be zero tomorrow. (self.Buttcoin)

Trading at the main Chinese exchanges (Huobi, OKCoin, and BTCC) has been dropping in straight line for the last 10 days. Rough numbers (BTC per hour):

Exchange  2017-01-08 2017-01-17
--------  ---------- ----------
OKCoin        88'000      8'000
Huobi         88'000      7'000
BTCC          60'000      7'000

The volume at BTCC has seen several surges in that span, but at OKCoin and Huobi the decay was quite linear, except for a 1-day surge during the last big drop on Jan/11.

If this trend continues, the volume should be zero sometime tomorrow. And negative thereafter. 8-D

Thanks for this info. I was extremely curious what kind of effect the lack of margin trading was having on the Chinese exchanges. Presumably wash trades and margin trading made up an obscene percentage.
