What is a military might if you don't exert any influence anywhere? Is the US becoming so isolationist that they become irrelevant on the world stage?

China is more than happy to exert their influence in SE Asia as well as most of the booming Africa in a trade perspective; they really have fingers in every pie. I strongly doubt the Trump administration will be so proactive.

Presence will remain but Trump undermining the european project has already caused irreperable damage. An option B for european defense will become more critical by the day.

What is Israel's role with this administration?

Not being forced to go so far that you will be accused of apartheid by the next administration. Israel has free reign now everything falls back on them.
