I missed the first 20minutes of the match, but for the rest of the first half, United's passing was absolutely woeful.
It seemed like because of the geigenpress, United just failed to string good passes together in midfield.
Not hating on Carrick (and few teams press like Liverpool), but cause Carrick didn't have the time on the ball, he struggled to pick out players and move the ball around well. His passing rate from the game is still pretty good but I would say the passes weren't helping United create space.
Would it have been better to start with Herrera, Pogba, Mata in midfield and bring on Carrick later in the game when the pressing had dropped so he had more space?

On a brighter note, despite this, I was so hopeful in the final 15 minutes that we'd get one back and possibly steal the win. If we were under Moyes or LVG, I would've just sat in dreadful anticipation of the loss.
