I’ll have to admit that it was a little hard to come up with reasonable or likely guesses for 2017. Unlike the last two years where you could only look at Feminists or other regressives and just sit back a predict batshit crazy or epic stupidity in larger and more grandiose amounts. This year there’s a period right after Donald Trump gets sworn in where we’ll all be feeling this guy out before I can say much of anything for certain.
But then again that’s probably where I should start

The first 100 days are usually a honeymoon period for almost any new politician. In this case, I’m guessing that almost everyone will be waiting to see how Donald Trump conducts himself, before deciding on a course of action. Once this period is over, though, we’ll likely have a pretty good idea how long it’ll take for the culture war to heat up again
But that gets me to my next point here.We’ve all been seeing the news about alleged ‘Russian Hackers’ and more specifically about how Barrack Obama has been doing as much as he can to needle the Russians before Donald Trump assumes office.
That though leads to a somewhat logical (I hope) guess for #2

There are two different ways that governments will try to deal with mounting internal pressure. They either repress, which is a terrible thing to do in an open marketplace of ideas like the internet. The other way is to start distracting the people with an outside. Now I’m not sure why the establishment would choose to antagonize a nuclear power like Russia. Whom if you remember had and still have enough nukes to turn the entire planet into a giant dayglo parking lot. The term that comes up for me is ‘playing with fire’ in this case nuclear fire! That doesn’t mean we won’t see #3 happening as well

3. Transparent attempts to crack down or censor the internet mainly alternative news sites.
We saw this almost immediately after the election when a list emerged of ‘fake news’ sites that curiously enough included all the sites that were either against Hillary Clinton or covered the Wikileaks issue extensively. Angela Merkel has even gone so far as to threaten any social media site that published ‘fake news’ with massive fines. It’s not a stretch to see this happen elsewhere in the west too. Certainly wouldn’t put it past Justin Trudeau here in Canada that’s for sure. I do have to point out that Trump’s election was the SECOND time that the establishment didn’t get their way because of the alternate media. Hands up how many of us remember Syria just a few months ago?

4. Gamergate (or a form of it) is not dead back for round #2
Just when you thought the whole sexism and harassment on the internet was done, it’s back! Starring everyone’s least favorite SJW of all time Anita Sarkeesian! Of course unlike 2014-15 this time the ‘bullying’ thing will just be a shell for particular establishment forces to put (or try to) restrictions on social media sites. This time it won’t be gamers getting targetted but everyone. It will start slowly and gain momentum as the year goes by. You may even see some serious money behind this push and the fight isn’t going to be at Comic-Con either. This time it’ll be in Washington DC.
5. A Watering down of the Manosphere in general
While I try to avoid labeling someone. There is still a period after a person ‘wakes up’ where they’re still processing and sorting through all the information they’ve been given. In my case the transition from Blue Pill to Purple Pill to full on Red Pill took decades. In fact had the morons at Atheism+ not been so fanatical in their zeal to turn the Atheist Community into a regressive haven I might still be a purple pill. What I’ve seen is a lot of ‘purple pill’ or not fully awakened people coming into the movement as a whole. Political Correctness and Tone Policing will be much more widespread in 2017. This ties into number six and not in a good way.
6. A rise in the extreme right inside the movement
There have always been people inside the MRM, MGTOW and Red Pill that were always white nationalists. In fact, regressives have used this fact to project that everyone was like this. The truth of the matter is that much like Feminists that call for the killing of 90% of the males on earth are a small minority. This bunch is also a tiny minority; their issues run parallel to what we’re dealing with especially in regards to the open racism being paraded around in Black Lives Matter like a badge of honor. I have run into more blatant racism and antisemitism in the last month than I have in the previous three years.
7. More prominent divisions rising inside the Manosphere
On my earlier blog, someone accused me of being USA-centric because I posted up at a group that wasn’t American but another nationality. There have always been people in the MRM that wanted the MRM to be ‘ideologically pure’ in this case to be strictly conservative. Now I’m personally aware of what’s going on in Europe.You have a severe immigrant problem, and they’re not assimilating among other things. I’m not there though so for me to give any opinion on what’s happening there other than. “Yeah it’s bad, and it needs fixing.” could and would make me sound like a complete ignoramus. I write and guess what I know. ; this, by the way, is also why I don’t comment on Father’s Rights much. I’m very sympathetic; I’m also not a dad, and there’s an aspect of the problem that I can’t grasp because I haven’t had the experience. MGTOW, in particular, is growing at an exponential rate, this will mean more than a few different voices. Some of these voices are much healthier than others.
8. Attacks on MGTOW happen with more frequency and ferocity
A quick check of my reader on WordPress shows that there are considerably more articles on MGTOW than there were even six months ago. I’ve had two different people that just found out about MGTOW come and ask me about it as well. This is the result of larger numbers of people, yes we have more converts (If that’s even the right word to be using). At the same time, MGTOW is also a larger target and one that’s a lot easier to take a ‘swing at’ because it’s not centralized and organized to the same extent that the MRM or even the Red Pill are, and the Red Pill group is also vast and individualistic. I’ve already gone into why people are more antagonistic towards MGTOW on another blog and video.
Not that these attacks are going to go anywhere to quote a friend taking on MGTOW is like trying to sword fight a fart.
9. I’m not a Feminist or I’m not and/or antifeminist pronouncements rise quickly
I’m going to be doing a video and blog about this very topic hopefully before the end of the month. To encapsulate the story though there was a woman that came out on YouTube who announced herself as not being Feminist and of course, got dog piled. This prompted me to do a search. When I started out, I had something between 35 and 40 videos. The running total is currently at 50 videos. Thirty-Four of these videos came out in 2016 another 13 were published the year before the lions share coming in the later half of 2015. Translation NINETY PERCENT of these went out in the last year. If you do an “I’m a feminist” search of YouTube, you’ll be lucky to find 5 declaring themselves to be Feminist and none of them recent. That translates out to a ten-fold increase in the last 18-24 months. Now project that out for this time next year…Can you say stampede?
Yes, you can, and it’s also entirely possible this could be a blip on the screen. Saying that it’s trending up and will continue to do so is a pretty safe guess.
10. Yet ANOTHER months-long period of feminist and/or SJW stupidity
In 2015 we started seeing Feminists literally go on these stretches where for 2 and 3 months at a time. The highlight in 2015 was the epic failure of feminists to do anything about Roosh V when he visited Canada. In 2016 it culminated in the epic stupid doubling down on Jian Ghomeshi after one of his accusers was shown to be an outright liar. In 2015 they just stopped of their own accord, last year it was the election race that distracted everyone away from them after they were in near total free fall. This year there won’t be an election (At least not in North America anyway) to save feminism. The result will be yet another run of epic stupidity. This one though may be longer lasting and the damage done to Feminism by Feminists will likely never be recovered.
We may also be served with a double scoop of stupid because now the SJW’s will also likely engage in a period like this as well.
Don’t hold your breath this likely won’t happen until the later half of 2017.
11. Very clear signs that Feminism is losing
Up until now, it’s been something of an inside secret that Feminism and now the SJW’s have been losing. This changed to public because of the election of Donald Trump and the Brexit win. What you’re going to see is some of the smarter feminists start admitting they’re in trouble. Especially when it becomes clear that Trump isn’t going down quickly.
12. Things start getting violent
Again I can see this happening later on in the year when it becomes apparent that. Donald Trump isn’t going anywhere. And that the attempts by the establishment to censor discussion didn’t have the desired effect. At this point, they’ve nearly run out of cards to play other than yelling louder and lying more blatantly. Doing more of the same that isn’t working only hastens your downfall. Ever dealt with an animal that’s cornered or injured? If you have then, you know what’s about to happen. It won’t be a stage 4 event, but it will certainly load and cock the trigger.
13. Outrageous and Blatant Lies
If you thought some of the articles done this year were bad (I’m looking at you MTV News) just wait. In 2016 there were only a handful of videos that got pulled because they were so bad. I can see it happening with much greater frequency as the year progresses Don’t check my facts will almost start being a mantra.
14. Members of the various SJW factions start getting in trouble
I’ve been astounded that some people in this camp haven’t seen themselves in legal hot water yet. That may change this year Anita has already been caught politizing with her non-profit. We’ll start hearing about legal and/or criminal action being started against at least one of these people.
15. Bill Cosby Trial!
How could I overlook this gem?
Due to happen in June? This will be the rape trial of the year to watch, and I’m guessing that Feminists are going to go all out here. Mostly for the reasons mentioned previously. There’s more than enough reasonable doubt here. I even remember one lawyer demanding 100 million dollars, or they would press charges! Now much like Jian Ghomeshi he may well be guilty, but events around the case also look like yet another conspiracy. One that’ll start falling apart once the actual trial starts. Expect LOTS of coverage on this, most of it attempting to declare him guilty before the fact.
A Guilty verdict here will start an extended period of feminist gloating, after all by the time the trial is over they’ll be in serious need of any kind of win. Feminism hasn’t had any major wins since VAWA was passed in 2014. However, if he’s found Not Guilty! Well, then everything I mentioned about things getting violent becomes much more real!
I don’t know why I left this till now, but this trial could be a lynchpin the same way the election was in 2016.
16. Virtue Signal Failure
Unlike Bill Cosby, I overlooked this one because it’s such a safe guess that almost anyone can make it. (I predict a quake somewhere in the Pacific Rim!) The Amy Schumer Barbie movie has all the makings of one serious stinker. There may well be others.
17. Call on Donald Trump to be impeached or resign by the end of summer
Started with politics going to end with politics. This is likely another very safe call for me. Why do you ask? Well, you see I live in Alberta, and we had this election here in 2015! The New Democrat Party won, a stunning turn for a province that had been Conservative since almost before I was born.
Rachel Notley barely even had time to warm up a seat in the Alberta Legislature here when people were demanding a recall or that she resign. Now this is an example of the blind attacking coming from the right. I can quite easily see it coming from the ‘regressives’ in the US within a couple of months of Trump sitting in the Oval Office.
18. A Hard Right or Nationalist party wins a country (Or two) in Europe this year.
Given the complete and total inability of the left in Europe to acknowledge that there’s even a problem with the current immigration situation. When it comes to election time this year for certain countries, you’re going to see right leaning or even far right leaning parties gain greater prominence some of them may even win, especially in France.
Well, that’s it for me this year much like how I see the year starting slowly and then heating up as we get closer to the end of the year. Same thing happened to the blog, started slow, but once my thought processes started going, I got on a run. Very quiet almost mute start to 2017 as we all hold our breath for the great unknown (sort of) that is Donald Trump. Once it’s clear where things are going though it’ll heat up quickly. Especially if Bill Cosby is found not guilty.
