Notes due to so many scammers:
No text messages, I will ignore. If interested please call (seven7zero-54seven-08nine0) or use CL mail relay.
Do not waste my time or yours by calling for lowest price. Serious buyers only. If you want to make an offer come in person with cash in hand.
If the listing is still up the Scout is still available.
I do not need/want help from anyone to sell.
For Sale a "Frame On" restored 1969 International Scout 800A.
It has the 196 ci 4 cylinder engine with 3 speed and hi/lo 4wd (single stick T/C).
This Scout spent it's whole life on a farm in Alabama and was nearly rust free when I got it. The only rust was between the gas tanks and the inner bed wall on boths sides. It was cut and replaced with new aftermarket metal panels.
Check the pictures of the cab floor, both sides are original rust free.
The pick up bed floor was also replaced with a new aftermarket metal bed, not because of rust but because it had been used and had minor dents and scratches that would have showed through the new paint.
New windshield and rubber. Replaced rear half cab window rubber (glass was fine). Door glass fine with new whiskers and rubber. Also replace door weatherstripping.
I only had it off when restoring the Scout but the half cab top/roof is removal and had new seals installed when painted.
Both gas tanks were replaced with new poly tanks, new filler necks, new screw in gas caps that prevent spills when Scout is on angles and new gauge sending units.
Comes with 5 new tires and white wagon wheels. Spare tire can mount behind cab as configured currently. I have the tailgate mounted tire carrier for an additional $200.00 if wanted.
New brake linings, wheel cylinders and drums all around. New rubber brake lines and metal lines replaced where needed.
New chrome bumpers front and rear (not Scout, they're 55 Ford F100 rear bumpers.
I fabricated a 2" square tube receiver hitch for the rear.
The bench seat has been reupholstered.
All mechanical, electric components and wiring were completely gone through and everything works as expected including the gas gauge. One exception, vacuum wipers do not work. They have an electric replacement for $3-400 but I don't drive it in the rain so I passed on the electric wipers.
The Scout comes with a nearly complete "spare" drive line, 1970 engine, trans, T/C and both axles.
I wanted to swap in an sbc V8 but the Scout was too nice for me to do that to it but if you interested I also have the Advance Adapter motor mount and trans adapter, a rebuilt TF727 trans with shift kit, torque converter, flex plate and a B&M shifter to convert the Scout to a small block chevy V8 for an additional $800.00.
I'm sure I've missed things so please call with questions about the Scout but please no tire kickers. If you know much about Scouts you'll appreciate what this one is and what it's worth.
