Don't know why people are saying the substitutions were wrong or shit.

Rooney was alright when he came on and most of all brought a bit of fire to us in the second half, almost came away with an assist when Fellaini struck the post.

Mata for me was getting into the spaces where we were losing the ball in the first half. It was so frustrating watching balls come back from the Liverpool backline or not make their intended man and nobody being in that space between midfield and attack. Mata filled it more and that allowed him to feed and create more space for Valencia.

Marouane Fucking Fellaini. For all my criticisms of him he has really made a huge positive difference in the past couple of games. I personally was thinking Mou should have brought on Rashford for a bit more pace but Fellaini paid off. Liverpool defending deep and Fellaini causing the defence problems under high balls. Looked far more composed than I'm used to seeing him and obviously played a huge part in our goal, unlucky not to score himself.

Overall it's the subs that turned the game for us. That was a side we really could and should have beaten so I can't wait to get another crack at the scouse bastards.

We were shit today, yet were still the better side. They did absolutely nothing from open play and we kept wasting chances.

I don't think you can say we deserved to win the match because it really was a lacklustre performance but a draw probably kills any slim hope we had of winning the league.

The most disappointing thing is that looking at the Liverpool starting eleven and then looking at ours, we have so much more quality. Their back line in particular was horrid, yet we still didn't threaten them enough.

Ultimately it's another two points dropped which we shouldn't have been dropping.

That midfield was woeful. Extremely static with barely any off-ball movement. Pogba and Herrera needed to make themselves available but Pogba was a statue this match and Herrera wasn't moving into correct spaces. He kept moving to be alongside Carrick which compressed us on the attack and allowed Liverpool to press as a team.

The worst part was our transition phase. One of the most crucial components of Barcelona's success around the start of the decade was the idea of compression and expansion. You compress the area of play when defending to suffocate attacks and you expand the area of play when you have possession to maximise possibilities.

We absolutely failed to do that. If we got the ball while compressed, we remained that way. If we received the ball while expanded, we didn't collapse back in upon losing it.

Again our inability to finish was our downfall today. We created enough chances to win. This is a derby you only get a few chances and are not going to completely boss a game. Liverpool had no real chances of note. We were the better team.

We came back and did draw the match, but i am still disappointed. Liverpool were there for the taking and we shit the bed. They were without their best players and we had full strength squad playing at home. liverpool were abysmal and we didn't take advantage of it. Overconfidence killed pogba imho it seemed as if he found the match difficult and instead of grabbing it by the scruff of the neck he resigned himself to mediocrity.

There was one instance where he tried a flick on the left flank with two defenders on him and promptly gave the ball away which led to a Liverpool break saved only by king Dave.

He needs to realize not every match is easy, most top 4 teams have players as good as you and this isn't serie A.

I thought we played well overall. Pogba didn't have a good game. Trying too hard similar to early in the season. Just needs to relax.

Saying all that we had plenty of chances to win the game and couldn't believe it took us so long to score.

Should have brought Rashford on instead of Rooney. It was an intense game and Liverpool were looking tired in the second half. Would have been a massive test down that left hand side to face his pace and energy. Rooney looked like he had played the whole game.

We lost the game more than Liverpool won it. We were very unlucky to concede that first goal. Literally two consecutive mistakes. That handball obviously affected Pogba's confidence. More than anything else though, that gave Liverpool the impetus. Obviously, goals change games. I wasn't terribly impressed by what was on show by Liverpool until we played long ball. When we ceded control of the midfield, they looked a lot more dangerous. I am utterly disappointed by the result because I know we can play so much better. We really ought to have given their right back a baptism of fire. All in all, an exciting game. Oh we had chances to score the first goal and equalise in the first half. They had two or three to make it two. I am rambling now...Herrera he is a bastard, but he is our bastard. Jesus Christ Ibrahimovic, we are not worthy!

This sub is so toxic when things don't go our way. Even when Ibra grabs an equalizer to at least save us a point, many people on this sub persecute a number of players. In reality, players have off days and up against the high press it's difficult to play how they wanted to play. I'm disappointed we didn't win as the better team, but I'm proud that unlike in previous seasons, the team really pushed towards the end.

We were poor today but we didn't lose and that's the positive we need to take. They did a number on Pogba. He had a terrible game. It would have been a different game if he had scored in the first half. If things don't go our way and we change formation, we need to calm the fuck down and build. We made a lot of errors and couldn't pass sideways. Shit game this. Move on! We win the next few games and other 5 teams are bound to drop the points.

Title hopes are slim now if they weren't already! We can get into the top 3 if we can fucking turn up!

On a lighter note, Jamie Redknapp sitting in the gantry just repeats whatever Gary Neville and other pandits say. How is he getting paid, that botox maniac!

Just a layman opinion, but it seems whole team is kind of cursed with short passes. They pass too often and then you have 10 players at the back defending which is almost impossible to pass. The 3 good chances (Mkhi 1,2 Rooney - maybe more didn't see first 20min) and the goal came after going stealing the ball and running instead of slowing it down. They need to mix it up a bit and keep the game at the center. But Liverpool played very well, they came prepared for very defensive game and did very few mistakes.

Oh and Pogba, dude needs bit of an ego check, you are not messi, stop fooling around. It seemed his performance spiraled down, last half he was nowhere to be seen besides giant mistakes. Bench for match or two would probably help him.

As much as everyone will be having a go at Pogba(rightfully so), our midfield 3 were absolutely abysmal off the ball today. No pressure put on the 'pool players when they had possession, no one sticking themselves in for 50/50s and so lacklustre in marking.

Loads of disappointing performances including Carrick and Mkhitaryan but most importantly, the substitutions were very poorly chosen. Bringing off Martial and bringing on Fellaini, Rooney and Mata reduced the pace of our attacking trio by so much. Nobody had the pace to take the ball and have a go at their fullbacks. This matchup was tailored for Rashford, we should have exploited the fact that their rightback was so inexperienced and kept on having a go at him as Martial did in the first half.

Let's now go on to the next game and pick up the three points lads. GGMU

EDIT: I'm NOT blaming Fellaini. I'm saying that bringing on 3 players with no pace in their game was a mistake and that we would've had a different game with Martial still on the pitch or introducing Rashford at some point.

EDIT 2: I'm also pointing out that they were abysmal OFF the ball. Please read carefully.
