A lemon is slang for a car that is always breaking down and requires constant repairs. I guess LEMON is the name of the company, and the product is called the California Roll...cause it's shaped like a sushi roll?

A lemon flavored California Roll does not sound super great, I would have gone with Crazy Roll or Spicy Salmon Tempura Roll.

Things which they have planned to take 1 month but will actually take much, much more.

  • Tooling
  • Regulatory certification
  • Debugging the production line
  • Mass manufacture and shipping

Tooling (the process of making the tool which makes the part) is not cheap. I recall being quoted 30K and 8 weeks for a simple injection mould tool, albeit this was 10 years ago. Their entire budget is 100K.

The timeline says tooling will be finished in August, but the campaign ends August 25th and they're only half funded.
