Nothing wrong with wanting your game to look authentic. I use skins with swastikas on them on my German aircraft in IL-2 1946. Why? Because they were THERE on the real ones, just like the SS was THERE in many of the battles depicted in this game. It's all very simple. If you would not like to see the SS in Red Orchestra 2, then please by all means don't download any mod containing such materials. Oh, and just to let you know, the entire Wehrmacht was responsible for atrocities not limited to the SS. Should we remove the German army completely from the game to make you feel better? Oh, and Superbia, I have not seen any mod containing any SS material, but if I did I would install it so that I could have authentic looking skins on my game characters, and AGM should not download it because his feelings might be hurt.

since no one else is going to answer the question, no, there are no mods for you to have ss skins. if you want to know what mod skins are being worked on, go to the TWI RO2 forums and have a look.

Yeah i think that would be a nice mod, and to the person who posted the SS where terrible people, the American army and not to mention the Russians where no better too. it's 'tarded that in a game that's supposed to be all about "realism", they have to take these simple symbols out. it's been pointed out, correctly, that there are overgeneralizations regarding the morals of both the SS and the "standard" german army.

Both Nazis and Communists were in generally pretty bad but after Stalin things seemed to get better but the SS were pure hate and were monsters!!! Do you even realise how cold blooded they were!!!????

And shooting your own soldiers for falling back in the face of insurmountable odds isn't cold blooded at all. Also, taking the food right out of the mouths of a rising generation to feed the nations war machine to combat the 'dark forces" of the US isn't either. How foolish we have been to think otherwise.

I've got a friend who's grandpa fought for 3 sides in the war. First for Latvia, then Germany and last Russia. The worst army to fight for were the Russian, and the best was Germany.

Now I do sincerely hope that this narrow minded fool did learn something, good replies btw Sk0g and Snappy, that was impressive.

People who have only learned of the stuff the SS have done, like this person, deserve to go through school again. Although what the Germans did was by no means a good thing, the Russians were forced into fanatical situations where they would literally die for no reason. The SS have done this as well - but only in situations where it was a logical option.

The Americans did stupid ♥♥♥♥, too, however, they were simply paranoid (for a good reason).

I must say - the Russians were by far the worst. Never allowed to retreat or surrender, mostly starved, some insane, some were even forced to fight the enemy with a knife/shovel where the Germans had superior training, and obviously, firepower.

Although the Russians had a MUCH larger force than Germany did, I still find it amazing they they won. Under the circumstances, they almost didn't deserve to win. (I'm not saying I WANT them to have won.)
