So as many people are aware, Trump is coming across hard as a Putin puppet. At the same time, he has also come out strong against Iran, and the deal signed by President Obama, and several allies.

Now let's talk about how the two might be seriously related.

Economically, Iran is a very isolated nation. Their biggest trade partner is Russia. This also holds true for their national security. But this partnership is not an even one, Russia has the power in the relationship.

With the nuke deal, many sanctions have been lifted on Iran, as well as the release of billions of dollars in oil money. This has given them some freedom to get out from under Russia's thumb.

For Putin, this is very bad. Not only are they losing control of a strategic ally, they are also seeing more oil hitting the market, which lowers the price for Russian oil.

Now since they are allies, Russia had to publicly support the deal. But that doesn't mean they actually wanted it. Instead they have a useful American idiot that might be able to tank the deal.

Maybe this is just a conspiracy theory, but I wish someone in the international press would look into it.
