Sorry for the delete/repost. My last title was unreadable.

Autocorrect strikes again :(

People who want babies are going to have babies... There are loads of kids out there who have no family, adoption is an option for those who have been sterilized- as horrible as it might be for them to not have their own biological children, they don't have to miss out on parenthood.

That doesn't really address the birth rate thing though.. I really don't think there are enough kids in the population on these drugs yet to see a huge impact in numbers. There are at least 10 million under 14s in the UK. Tavistock, the only place in the UK that sees child patients for gender issues (may be the only one in England not rest of UK, feel free to correct) , got 1400 referrals for under 18s this year. Those numbers are going up really dramatically each year, but it's still only 0.01% of the population at the moment- and hopefully not all of them will be left sterile. That's really not going to have an impact on population growth any time soon.

That's what I've been thinking as well, but the number is only going up, you know? It's also really just something that has been kicking about in my head for a while and I wanted to see what others thought as well.

One of my fears is that there will be so many people wrongfully prescribed these puberty blockers that it will really start to hurt my generation as a whole in some way. Sterility, osteoporosis/bone density, throwing meds and surgery at certain mental illnesses, not allowing young men and women to be "butch" lesbian or "effeminate" gay men w/o first making them do the rounds on meds and therapy.
