I dont feel like I got a chance of ever getting a girlfriend. I used to read in to pick up artist advice when I was a lot younger and more confident and successful. It worked for me initially when I really wooed a hot girl who told me she wanted my babies etc. My mental health deteriorated though and I devdliped bipolar which subsequentially scared her off. I also lost a lot of friend's etc and basically my confidence levels dropped significantly. I dont like socialising as much now and when I do I avoid all the potential places I could meet girls e.g clubs and parties. I feel like I should be doing that but oh well. The only other option I can see for myself to meet women is online which is probably best for someone with little to no friends and limited options of meeting someone new like myself but have tried and I cant fathom the motivation and energy to make myself go out on the dates though. Not because of nerves either. At the moment there is one girl I speak to that I met in hospital recently where I had another bipolar relapse she has a bf and says she likes me. I dont know how long that will likely last but I'm not attracted to her particularly. She smokes weed has a lot of issues herself and is a bit tomboyish. Should I pursue her anyway? I cant see any other opportunities coming my way and I chicken out of dating girls online too easily. The last girl who said she liked me was around 2 years ago and she was ridiculously ugly. I feel like this new girl will be my only opportunity for a very long time On top of my mental health issues I'm also technically homeless (I have a place through the council) and I'm introverted and shy. My low self esteem kills me the most because I feel abnormal and like I'm unworthy of love. I just don't feel like ill ever be in the "dating game". Can I get a girlfriend if I feel this way about myself? If not how do I change my attitude (therapy/counselling hasnt worked)
