75th Ranger Regiment Soldiers Go Covert in Pakistan

With dramatis personae that include the CIA, Delta Force, DEVGRU, the Intelligence Support Activity, Pakistani Commandos, the Taliban, and spies from Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence Agency (ISI), this story has the makings of a future Brad Thor bestseller. The only difference is, this story happened over the course of an eight-month period for a very small team of Army Rangers from the 75th Ranger Regiment.

It was early 2006. The place: Tarbela-Ghazi Airbase in Pakistan, headquarters for the Pakistani Commandos, officially identified as the Special Services Group—one of the premiere special-operations forces of the Pakistani military. Tarbela, a mere two-hour drive from the capital of Islamabad, also acts as the forward point of countless military offensive operations in Pakistan’s northwest frontier.

Attempts made to "mollify' Pakistani Taliban... But in "...a compromise between food and poison, the winner is always death..." The Pakistani Taliban care nothing about how anti-U.S. the Pakistani government is... they control the government... and they control the nukes. The Pakistani Taliban means to rectify that. . ...So the Pakistani government had to swat down some of their domestic Taliban. Now revenge has been taken. If in fact many of these slaughtered children were offspring of Pakistani officers... look for a "war to the knife..." . -YP-

That last paragraph is the expected outcome when dealing with Pakistan. They never were and will never be the wests friend

. ...Pakistan is not our ally. Once in a while our interests overlap... and they do have a few fine officers... but in general, the less that we have to do with the Pakistani government the better. . ... Aside from the normal way of "doing business" in that part of the world, the Pakistanis from day one decided that like the British and the Soviets... we would be gone eventually and they would still have to live there.
