Should mothers be the only influence in a boy's life until he reaches his teenage years? Just wanted an opinion. The native Iroquois and Mohawk women practiced this and didn't let the fathers have access to the boy until he was mentally and physically prepared to hunt food. So mothers retained 100% custody of their children and fathers rights weren't even a question.
Clearly it worked. Men didn't grow up "screwed up." according to recorded history from the native perspective and passed down oral knowledge, the men were obedient to women and mainly the 12 elder women who would chose ONE man to lead other men.. If that man was unfit to rule, the elder women would "de-horn" him.
To end off... Here's a funny and just story on what happened to men who challenged female authority.
