moderation on the stream has been absolute garbage.

I got perma'd for the first sentence I typed "Who's on the couch?"

Why don't you make the chat subscriber only and spare us all this farce

I found that, what do you call it? Twitch Haiku? hysterical. Was sad to see it being banned in mass.

oh my god who cares twitch chat's always been shit

Tired of people saying this. Twitch chat creates the atmosphere of the stream. It's 150k people all in one chatroom and it's really alot of fun, especially when something hype or cool happens on the stream. If you don't like it, just hide it. It literally does not affect you.

This, I don't get why everyone complains. It's like going to a movie, and all the audience reacting. Or a sports game when your team scores. It's just like that

If you are in a movie and start screaming, expect to be escorted out of any theatre that gives half a shit. Hell, the more "film fan" oriented ones even escort you out for quietly talking.

If you go to a sports event and start chanting "ook ook, fucking <Hard N> monkey. Ook ook" you can probably expect someone to beat the living hell out of you (and if your culture is cool with racism toward black people, pick a race you don't hate). And if THAT spills over, it is one of those things called a "football riot" and law enforcement get involved.

You seem to not quite understand. It's just awesome when someone starts a Mexican wave and the entire stadium joins. With twitch chat it's the same. Some starts a silly phrase with emotes and everyone joins. The analogy of your example would be those huge ascii pictures in chat which are annoying and get rightly deleted.

[–]Comrade_Sprinkles_73 [スコア非表示]  (1子コメント)

And that isn't an issue and is why there are many things that are still allowed.

The "wave" analogy would be like if the crowd did it constantly any time a cuban player was at bat as a way to imply that he swam to florida. Also, this example is clearly set in the late 90s/early 00s.

And once something is used more for racism/toxicity/bigotry/being a dick, it gets banned.

the no fun allowed and memes gone quick was banned too, yet it's not toxic or racist, just people showing they don't like the mods.

the one in a movie was a bad example, yeah I didn't think about that. BUT twitch chat is optional though. Just text, no sound.

Twitch chat creates the atmosphere of the stream.

And you wonder why they are moderating it and trying to make it less toxic/4chan'y.

I'm not saying NO moderation, just less strict. Ban the shit that is obviously racist and offensive. But banning a face and other stupid things, yet still allowing moonmoon subs to spam, is unnecessary.

[–]Comrade_Sprinkles_73 0 ポイント1 ポイント  (4子コメント)

The problem is: What is "obviously (...) offensive"? A lot of people flip their shit over not being able to spam "cringe" which is kind of the definition of offensive as it is a straight up insult to the runners and staff. Others, like the topic creator, are your bog standard 4chan "fucking SJWs won't let me talk about how I want to strangle a tranny" idiots. Their idea of "obviously racist and offensive" is probably quite different than mine and yours.

Well crap someone might be offended by it so lets ban everything. Hey twitch mods speed runs offend me so you better stop this stream.

Exactly how is a standard twitch emote offensive? Also it's fairly obvious that "strangling trannies" is very offensive. However, some banned things such as Cx, forsen, triggered, haHAA, and countless others aren't offensive.

Also cringe will happen at these big events, you can't hide that. But cringe happens at every event. E3 has cringe moments and people spam haHAA and cringe and whatnot, but the mods don't ban everyone who say it.

If a run is good then no one will call it cringey, and if something cringey happens, well banning emotes doesn't hide the fact that people still find it cringey.

You clearly have never been to 4chan. Most anon are just going to start trap threads so they can jerk it to those "trannies"

Nah, I don't want to offend people or spam racist shit. Just the fun stuff. haHAA is just a basic reaction when there's a weird silence and IT ALWAYS happens in GDQ yet we still watch them.

yeah, inb4 they ban LUL and PogChamp and SourPls hahaha

Twitch chat MAKES twitch though. If not it would be like watching ustream.

I've been perma banned in chat for like 2 years now and I have absolutly no idea why.

They're seriously banning that pasta? What a joke Lol

Don't expect upvotes OP. This subreddit has been taken over by SJWs.

I feel ya. It just sucks how downvotes limit my account on a comment every 10 minutes just because of the sjws

It's not only this subreddit, most people of reddit think twitch chat should be for sophisticated discussion or they just lack that kind of childish humor
