Quinnipiac University National Poll Illustrates Donald Trumps Approval Nose-Dive. I could not make this up.
Donald Trump's Approval Nose-Dive

I don’t have a whole lot to say here. I’m a computer programmer of over 3 decades, so data is my first language. All I did was take 10 consecutive poll responses from Quinnipaic University’s latest national poll, and graph them.

The questions asked were as follows:

  1. Are you generally optimistic or pessimistic about the next four years with Donald Trump as president?
  2. Do you think that Donald Trump will be a better president than President Obama, a worse president, or will be about the same as President Obama?
  3. Do you think that Donald Trump will be a great president, a good president, a not so good president, or a bad president? [I added great + good responses.]
  4. Do you think Donald Trump's policies will help the nation's economy, hurt the nation's economy, or won't make a difference?
  5. Do you think Donald Trump's policies will help your personal financial situation, hurt your personal financial situation, or won't make a difference?
  6. As president, do you think Donald Trump will take the nation in the right direction or the wrong direction?
  7. Would you say that Donald Trump is honest, or not?
  8. Would you say that Donald Trump has good leadership skills, or not?
  9. Would you say that Donald Trump cares about average Americans, or not?
  10. Would you say that Donald Trump is level headed, or not?

Thanks to Quinnipiac University and their Department of Public Affairs. Here is their methodology statement.

Thanks to LiveGAP Charts. I found it a rather high learning curve, and some things seemed quirky, but I got the job done — a few other online charting apps wouldn’t let me have more than 6 lines — and it had the formatting capabilities to make it look nice, and allowed me to save as HTML as well as an image. (Did I say I like data?) So I recommend them if you have the need and the time.

One final note: my wife asked me in mid-November what would become of a Trump presidency. I said I would make only one prediction — that his approval rating would drop to the 30s by the end of February.

Oh, and thanks to Donald Trump for (uncontrollably) showing his true colors, and to the US citizens who are just realizing it.
