I had a good conversation with some folks who gave voice to a sentiment I have been experiencing recently. They posited, "The right-wing political machine considers foreign governments, and by extension the unethical intervention by those governments, an asset. Should those involved in politics, not in the right-wing political machine, adopt similarly immoral stance so as not to be run over by that political machine?"
"No," I responded at the time, "It is better to lose than to win that way."
However, if I was going to posit how best to begin enacting the Republicanesque stratagem, it would begin with the removal of Trump's name as the leader of his own administration. For instance, describing it as the Pence administration. The Pence response to this, that and the other thing. There are a bunch of different ways to do this, for instance referring to it as the post-Obama administration, calling it the Putin asset administration, and the like. This would create a need in the president of the Mitch Mcconnell administration to prove his leadership, which I don't believe the Popular-vote loser could do.
