Best outcome: Liverpool tie? (self.reddevils)

I really wanted a tie between Southampton vs liverpool. Don't get me wrong i'm glad Southampton won but I feel like Klopp is going to try even harder to fire the team up for our upcoming game. Its already a vital game for both teams. I feel like this loss is going to make Liverpool readjust and be better prepared for our game. Any thought?

Liverpool versus United is always fired up. This just means they're "licking their wounds" coming into the United match. I'd much prefer this than them being on a winning streak.

Regardless, it all goes out the window as soon as the match begins.

They can fire them up as hard as he wants, their best offensive players without Coutinho couldn't score a goal for 30 mins against League Two Plymouth and today they proved again that they have a crisis.

Either way it's the next game mentality with Liverpool, like most good teams in the EPL. Honestly they've had a dip in form, and we're at home. Don't fret too much, should be a cracker of a game

I'd actually prefer him over Lindelof. VVD already has Premier League experience, he's 25 (good age), and he'd probably cost less than Lindeloff.

Selling Schneiderlin and Memphis should cover most of that I'd say. I think he's an unreal CB, I'd absolutely love him beside Bailly/Smalling.

Only watched from around the 60min mark but they looked very leggy. I doubt they'll be able to keep up their high intensity, pressing game for 90mins. We've rotated well over this period and should have a reasonably fresh 11. So I am a bit optimistic for Saturday.

Also, a little birdie on the sub wrote a beautifully foretold prophecy which I am certain will come to fruition about the Scousers imploding right around this time. I am so looking forward to that. And with the way tonight's result went for them, I can't wait to see the rest!

I can't speak about your little bird, but I kept telling my Liverpool friends that you can look as good as you want now (early in the season), but good luck keeping up that pressing system during and after the festive period. If they pull it off more power to them, but I don't think they have the depth. They'd be fucked if they had to play in Europe.
