I wonder if someone will tell these protesters that they're russian puppets for being anti-fracking.

Marco Rubio is a hack. That was disgraceful. All he did was try to box Tillerson in a corner and try to make him declare Putin a war criminal.

Is it me or has Ted Cruz been a total bro for just about everything related to this incoming administration?

Well, he was one of the only Republicans to actually endorse Trump, albeit only at the very end.

Also his Jeff Sessions support has nothing to do with Trump. Cruz has idolized him for a long time now and badly wanted his endorsement during the primaries.

Same with Corker, actually had Tillerson agree that Russia committed war crimes in Aleppo.

Why is it wrong to admit that? Are war crimes ok now?

It is just dumb to do for a few reasons. What does it do for our Secretary of State to declare Putin a war criminal? Does it help us in negotiations with Russia? Does it improve the outlook of long-lasting peace? Does it actually do anything to benefit us at all?

Look back at how we treated Japan after WW2. We arrested and prosecuted many war criminals, but we never went after Hirohito. Why didn't we and why did we pardon or commute the sentences of many of the Japanese war criminals? Because the US wanted Japan to become an ally and was afraid of Russian aggression. They ignored past atrocities in the interest of preserving future peace.

Putin may be a war criminal, but it does nothing for our nation for the Secretary of State to declare that.

We said many were war criminals, but then we promoted reconciliation. But the first step is to accept the actions and crimes that occured - then you can forgive. You can't go straight there.

Many of Japan's war crimes have been completely whitewashed by history. The US was complicit in much of the coverup so that Japan would not become friendly with the Soviet Union.

The horrible atrocities committed by Unit 731 has never been acknowledged by the Japanese government even though Hirohito knew about it. To this day the Japanese won't cooperate with the Chinese in regards to anything involving Unit 731.

They aren't there to carry Trumps water, they are there to provide advice and consent.

If you cant handle the US senate, how can they handle the affairs of state.

It was just a hit job to get a headline. It did nothing to the nation nor inform the committee. I don't think Tillerson handled it badly, it just made Rubio look like Lindsey Graham.

Or they have actual difference with policy. It can't be that can it?

Poor Tillerson, he should've been provided a safe space without mean bullies like Rubio

I'm only bothered because Senator Rubio is a Republican Senator and supposed to be the future of the GOP. Instead of using his time constructively for his constituents he decided he wanted to look like Lindsey Graham and make headlines. It is inexcusable that Rubio didn't ask Tillerson about Cuba.

I love Globalists like Tillerson. He's so dreamy.
