Guys, this is my first election cycle, but even if it wasn't, I feel like this is an unprecedented set of circumstances, at least in the USA.

But really, what can we do as average citizens? We very clearly have a Russian puppet as our president, he's trying to shut down freedom of the press, and he's surrounded by a republican house and senate who aren't going to do anything about this.

I just.......don't know what to say. History is unfolding in front of us, and I just don't know where to go from here.

What do we do?

I think a good way to start would be to call your members of congress and demand a formal investigation into Trump's ties with Russia. It doesn't matter if your MoCs are Democrats or Republicans - it's absolutely essential that we come together as Americans to clear up these allegations.

As soon as you can, Google the phone numbers for the offices of your senators and congressmen, and call them. It doesn't matter if you have to leave a voice message, if they get enough of them they will take notice. If you can, go to your local MoC's Town Hall meetings and talk with them directly. This might require more research since these meetings may not be publicly advertised, but they should be open to the public.

We need a good bank of lawyers dedicated to draining the Trump income swamp. I would donate regularly to any firm willing to just keep suing the shit out of him, his 3 kids and the people swimming in his spit for their own personal gain. The best outcome would have them broken and broke before the 4 year term ends or is legally terminated. We need real journalism, not just talking heads reading the daily 'news releases' that get faxed to them daily.
