Haha, what's scary is that I've heard similar things in person. These weren't just little phrases from people hiding behind their keyboards, these were honest to God opinions that some people had zero issue with putting out there. Pulling out my brush and Bob Ross wig and painting the scene...

I'm at my university, just hanging out at a table shoveling Panda Express in my mouth like a child (kung pao chicken and chow mein, to be exact), reading my textbook and just overall enjoying my lunch. Behind me at another table sits a vape of hipsters and just a few other average students. My ears prick up when I start to hear that they're talking about the election and BLM. I use great discipline and manage to slow my shoveling down to a speed that befits a human with dignity and start to listen in. They're all more or less talking and agreeing and some are saying "Bernie is better cause of blah blah blah..." or "No, I like Hillary. She's blah blah blah..." Cool. Whatever. They're entitled to their opinions. But then they start talking about how Hillary is so supportive of BLM and how she's always speaking up for them. (Ya know, after riots and tweeting that white people need to die because they're white or how the police need to die or beating different political supporters, etc. etc. etc.). I'm thinking to myself "That's really stupid, but whatever." and I'm about to begin shoveling food at an embarrassing rate when it happens. That haunting moment that happens only a few times in your life. The ones where your mouth literally falls open and where your brain just freezes up as gears try and turn and process what just happened. The ones where you question if you just experienced all of that correctly because there is just no way it happened like that, it couldn't have. Maybe I had a seizure midway through their sentence, maybe I'm on a hidden camera show, maybe I made my right sock have the ability to transport me to alternate universes after I added too much fabric softener and it just now spat me into the bizzaro one. All of these were surely more likely. But there was no denying it, it happened.

As they're all talking about how whites have done nothing but continually hurt the black community, even to present day, and how whites are inherently racist and will never leave the black people to live peacefully, one of them chimes in "I think part of the US should only be for African Americans, and part of the US should only be for white people." To which the whole table started talking in agreement. Not just buses or schools or towns or cities, full on states and regions. They might as well have just pulled out a map and said "The west coast goes to the black people, the white people get the east coast, and then we'll just handle the rest state by state."

Full on segregation. Not even just segregation, but segregation's cousin that takes five different kinds of steroids. And all in the name of making sure that everyone is treated fairly and equally.
