Welcome to January.

Transfer rules from here on out -

  • RELIABLE SOURCES ONLY as seperate threads (Tier 2 or above). All other gossip, articles, tweets, etc, go in this thread which will be stickied.

  • All self-posts which relate to transfers (in or out) are not allowed and should be posted in this thread (Eg 'Carrick replacement?')

If this thread, for Week 2 (Today - 15th Jan) seems to get boring or unused, please feel free to make one for a new day (Max one per day). It'll get stickied and everyone can comment on the ongoings.

As it is January and from Mourinho's comments, a signing may be unlikely so having a strict daily rule may be unwise. This thread could be enough for the entire week as things are pretty quiet.

But of course if we do end up having concrete interest in someone, feel free to make another!

Who could replace Ibrahimovic when the time comes ? if for the sake of discussion we need someone this summer ( not saying he won't perform next season, but just we might see some decline )

Are there any players with similar skill sets to ibra who could fit in with our formation and style, or should we try rework it to fit Rashford / martial when they're the main men ?

We're apparently interested in Tiemoué Bakayoko as a replacement for Carrick, according to Daily Record.

Yeah there was a pretty good source saying we were interesting in signing him a while back along with Lindelof,Semedo and Grizemann.

Those 4 being our main targets between now and the close of Summer window!

Tbh I keep forgetting the window's open. I guess I'm not too invested. If we sign Lindelof then cool but if we don't I'm not too bothered. And it doesn't seem like we're after anyone else at all.

No smoke without fire though I guess, i think the only reason you feel not as invested is because there's nothing really going on, if there was something substantial we'd all know about it and probs be refreshing the sub like a set of bastards.

I feel the same way, i'm sure it's because we're not really in the market for anyone aside Lindelof (and that's a stretch) just cos Jose has mentioned that we don't need any new players at this moment in time (January).

We're not even getting that many shit rumours come through... I wouldn't be surprised at all if we don't get anyone.

Yeah course. I'm much more excited about the next few weeks of football than I am about transfers as it seems most of the top teams aren't really getting players in, and it's more about how they perform over the coming months with the teams they have.

It's a nice break to be honest, the summer was a fucking nightmare with the Pogba rumours, seriously can't handle that again, but alas, Griezmann exists and therfore I expect a rollercoaster of some sort.

The next few weeks is gonna be top though I agree!! I mean, even the next 2 months or so.... I reckon we can make 2nd quite solidly... If we beat the scouse, then we're in an extremely good position.
