Who will replace D1794? (self.reddevils)

He's been such a good servant to this sub, many consider him a legend but he's getting on a bit. Who can we get that's as calm, composed and intelligent is as he is?

I'm liking the look of that young mod over at /r/borussiadortmund who seems to be in the same ilk as D1794. With all the mods we have and if get him, we can build a worldclass subreddit for the next 10 years at least. Or maybe we could convert one of our own into a mod, someone who's been playing out of position and has been doing well there.

😂😂😂 I too heard there's an up and coming mod in /r/borrusiadortmund who fits the mould perfectly.

Will be tricky to get him though. If not then we should just go all out for the world-class mod at /r/realmadrid. We almost got him in 2013.

    I've been a member of this sub for several years under two different usernames/positions, and think I could be ready to make the step up. I don't think I'd be a like-for-like replacement for D1794 but I offer enough that we could build a solid moderating team around me and together with /u/lukejames1111, /u/spoofex, /u/Pedantic_Pat etc we have a strong core for the next 10 years.

    I dunno /u/lukejames1111 has been pretty quiet since the subreddit re-design a couple of seasons ago. I'm sure he's working hard behind the scenes but is that really enough for a subreddit of our aspirations?

    You can't make your mind about a young, up-and-coming mod by ONLY browsing his sub's all time top posts section. Of course it's going to showcase his best decision-making. You have to watch him, day in day out.

    I for one think we shouldn't directly replace D1794 as chances are we aren't gonna get the same mod. We should however, adjust the subreddit to the mod team and bring in transfers accordingly.
