Just what would the fascination be with a famous bad 'philosopher' in a subreddit dedicated to bad philosophy? I'm serious guys, gas the Muslims.

People like the OP in that post (/u/TychoCelchuuu) remind me of the kind of person I aspire to be; an enthusiastic teacher who writes engaging posts on the internet and has substantial value to add in real life. Furthermore, his gutsiness in allowing feedback in the comments.

Also, here's a link to the removed comments. I'm glad I don't have to read all those content-free ramblings!

I read Rawls and Lyotard.

The meme-virus of Cucktural Marxism has thoroughly taken over my brain.

Just. Like. Islam.

The people there have absolutely no idea what logic is. They have left logic behind. Logic gone bye bye

It's not just /r/samharris, actually /r/scientism is more or less the same. The top post of all time on /r/STEMLORD is a reiteration of all the worst smears they could dig up, and they have defended it as a good post because it gives accurate reasons for why STEMlords don't like r/badphilosophy. Ben Stiller, moderator in all of them (and even in /r/scientism) has spent an impressive amount of time trolling our little subreddit. He is banned now, unlike Dawkins, who is still permitted to waste the time of anyone bothering to answer him. Among the STEMlords of Reddit there seems to be a clique of people who will happily spend time baiting people into pointless discussions, essentially high-effort trolling, and especially here in /r/badphilosophy. They will misunderstand ever so slightly at the right moments, and generally throw away as much of your time and energy as possible. This trolling behavior has a certain overlap with the agenda of STEMlords and atheists of a certain bent. All in all the worst kind of people I know. Honestly, some of the answers people get on /r/STEMlord is the most glorious word salad of nebulous, cocky and useless garbage you can imagine. I can only assume that all the real STEMlords have been squeezed out or left in disgust. Because of the peculiar situation, I have elected to boycott the three aforementioned subreddits, and block users who has affiliation with them. Sure, I might block honest and smart interlocutors, but luckily /r/badphilosophy is far from an echochamber.
