This is the memorial of a French ballet dancer Helene Giuglaris (b.1916) who loved the Noh "Hagoromo" very much. This memorial is at Mihonomatsubara beach. On the memorial is carved a figure of Helene with a Noh mask in her hand. She died in 1957 at Paris. She couldn't see a performance of the Noh "Hagoromo". This memorial was built in accordance with her last words "Bury my hair near the Hagoromo Pine Tree at Mihonomatsubara beach." The letters carved on this memorial are below.
