United don't have the rights to broadcast our matches. It's why MUTV only broadcast our pre-season friendlies.

Well, under the Premier League umbrella United don't own the "live" rights. Hence why after midnight they can show the whole game replayed on MUTV.

Under Premier League regulations all teams get a equal share of TV money, thus giving Premier League the rights to distribute the content. That then allows them as well as the TV companies who have brought the rights to decide what games and times they play etc. The Premier League works for all the member clubs to arrange these kinds of deals, to keep on filling the clubs accounts with money. All the clubs agreed to the arrangement that allows a level playing field for the league. Bringing me onto my next point..

If a European Super League ever came to pass you could potentially see every United game live on every channel that own the rights to either the league or the clubs individually. This happened in Spain in previous years, which is how Barca and Real were always on TV whilst other clubs weren't guaranteed to be shown. Now La Liga has entered into a shared arrangement with all its clubs. Madrid and Barca were pulling in €100m [estimate] per season, whilst other clubs would be lucky to get €10m. But it was causing a obvious gap between them and all the others clubs.

The reason why America for example gets to see any game they want at any time, is because here they have rules where there's a 3 p.m. blackout so that no live games can be shown, this is to protect crowd attendance as people can be tempted to watch live on TV than go to the game itself. Whereas other countries like America won't have that problem [obviously].

Edit: If United were to ever go with individual rights [will be very tough to do with all the red tape and will be fought in court for a long time] in the sense that they do something like Barca and Madrid, then they can have my money now, forever.

Mate, if there was any way I could legally watch all United games live, and support the club directly I'd be all over that but as far as I know, there's none.

I outright refuse to pay for both BT Sports and Sky Sports packages and STILL not get all the games broadcasted, it's an absolute joke.

If there's one thing you Americans got perfect it's that (as far as I'm aware) if you live in the state or whatever that your major sports team is playing, you get their games on TV. Absurd that I live in Manchester and I don't have access to watch Manchester United because Sky or BT have decided they own the rights.

Or you could ya know... go to the game? See loads of people on here saying how it's their dream to come to a game and you've got the chance and choose not to?

Its not so absurd if you understand why every United game isn't live every time they play, as much as I'd love them to be.

If Sky and BT could show all the games from every game on the weekends I'm sure they'd be all over that, but legally its not possible.
