For those of you who may not be familiar, r/bindingofisaac is the subreddit for The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is a popular indie game in which a young child is being chased by his religious zealot of a mother to avoid being made a human sacrifice. It is a graphic, violent game with lots of religious imagery, extreme violence, and poop and pee humor, and is not for the feint of heart (if this sort of thing bothers you, you may want to skip this one because most of the links will be NSFW with the above content). It is also extremely popular, and recently had it's second expansion, Afterbirth † come out.

As is common with this series, the initial release of the expansion is rather bumpy, with a couple hour delay that helped the entire subreddit psych itself up into a frenzied mass. When the expansion finally did drop, there were (like all BoI release) numerous bugs and other issues which led to a very angry subreddit. It is worth noting that the game also recently had a fan-expansion release, The Binding of Isaac: Antibirth, which got near universal praise, and is being compared commonly with Afterbirth †.

Nothing stops complaints like complaining about those complaining.

You know what would be a great way to express my anger? A political cartoon! The creator of Binding of Isaac says in a tweet that he probably should of used a wider range of beta testers because of the difficulty spike of the expansion. People are unhappy with this. Enter the fan creators of Antibirth, who are just as angry as many of the subreddit regulars are.

A few days later they walk that back though.

Not sure if it is mods or OPs, but lots of the drama was lost because I was lazy and didn't get around to this until today. Still some fantastic salt in that entire subreddit currently. As for me, I never got gud, so I'm just as terrible in the new expansion as I was in old ones.
