To the people reporting "A difference of opinion is not brigading" true, however a flood of people who have never commented in r/lgbt before and main comments are on T_d is a pretty sure sign of it, which happened here

absolutely disgusting tbh

Edit: I want /r/The_Donald to leave

Well it fits with 2016...

Breaking News: /r/the_donald continues breaking subreddit rules by brigading online polls to feel better about themselves.

And to distract from this administration's own horrifying anti-LGBT platform, and the grotesque homophobia and transphobia displayed by a hell of a lot of trump supporters, by promoting their ludicrous and disgusting image of the evil immigrant Muslim boogiemen coming to throw gay people off the roof unless their dear leader Orange Hitler puts them all in camps first.

Any proof? Mike Pence was #2 which was a 4chan crusade.

May his soul be ripped from his body and cast into the underworld where it belongs.

It can then be replaced by someone more deserving.

Maybe don't just leave your "person of the year" honor up to an internet poll? It clearly shows LGBTQ Nation is just a crappy website that doesn't take its own causes seriously. "Person of the year" is meaningless if the words don't have meaning.

Why does LGBTQ Nation even give this jack-ass a platform?

Why are we giving LGBTQ Nation a platform?

Fair point.

He's been very vocal in defending the LGBT community against the biggest threat they've ever faced: Radical Islam.

My country's government is full of radical Christians actively fighting to strip me of my rights as a taxpaying American citizen.

Meanwhile I've never been attacked by a Muslim terrorist, let alone even met one.

But please, tell me more about how I should only be afraid of the spooky brown people 5000 miles away.

Tell that to the victims of Orlando.

Are you telling me that more gay people were harmed in that one shooting, than by all Christians in the entire nation, in even just that same week, including the Christians who praised the shooting? Including the Christians firing gay people from their jobs, kicking gay people out of their houses--even minors--, beating up gay people in the streets, and forcing their children into "pray the gay away" camps which drive them to suicide?

Really. Tell me you're actually trying to make that argument.

this is such a bullshit post.. gay people have it better in america than ever before.. they are represented in culture and politics and media in staggering numbers compared to just two decades ago.. they can marry! if someone doesn't want to bake a cake who cares? at least they're not going to shoot up a gay night club..

the new leftism is a mental illness..

Trans people sure as hell don't.

this is such a bullshit post.. gay people have it better in america than ever before..

In much the same way that jumping off a cliff is better than jumping out of a plane.

they are represented in culture and politics and media in staggering numbers compared to just two decades ago..

I've seen hundreds of couples in advertisements over the past few months. Every last couple was heterosexual.

they can marry!

Wow!

if someone doesn't want to bake a cake who cares?

This is another one of the very few talking points of the_donald brigaders! Maybe we should keep the bakeries separate but equal so we don't hurt the Christians' fragile little feelings.

Fifty people killed by a second-generation Middle Easterner from a nominally Muslim family for reasons unrelated to religion does not a justification for institutionalized persecution of Muslims make. Try harder.

Or worst mass shooting in the past decade committed by radical Muslim who pledged allegiance to ISIS moments before the crime... You try harder.

Mateen's father and ex-wife both admitted that he was never a particularly religious person, no?

Christian fascism and neo-Nazism are just as much threats to queers as Islamofascism.

Muslims in the US are a tiny, politically powerless minority. They are about 1% of the population, and the vast majority of them are decent, peaceful people. As a population American Muslims are more likely to support gay marriage than evangelical Christians, who make up about 30% of the US population.

In the US, Christian fascism and neo-Nazism are far greater threats to the rights, dignity, and safety of LGBTQ people than Muslims are.

I don't disagree. I came to shit on Trump supporters, not Muslims.

We've got plenty enough extremists on our front doorstep without this overblown fear of foreign brown boogeymen. The T needs protection from people like Milo publicly outing them.

Who's "we"? And who's "foreign"? LGBT people exist all over the world. As do Muslims.

I'm making a comment within the context of American politics, sorry for not specifying.

I'm much more concerned about radical Christian KKK members, than Radical Islam, personally.

Although they do seem to utilize all the same arguments, don't they?

He's been very vocal in presenting the American LGBT community with the biggest realistic threat they've ever faced: a Trump/Pence presidency.

While he's done absolutely nothing to stop Islamic extremism, he has created several new threats.

The biggest threat the LGBT community faces are the reactionaries seeking to strip us of our rights.
