Coinbase app won't load accounts. (self.BitcoinMarkets)

My coinbase app isn't working. Is anyone else having this problem?

Their servers are under a huge amount of stress right now thanks to the price event. They're working on it.

Are they "working on it?" Please please please pleas PLEASE move your coins off of that exchange. Think of all the times you've been warned of that exchange, add this warning, and remember that when they fuck everyone over in the near future.

Gemini is AMAZING. Way more control over your orders, better data, better prices.

I don't disagree with the "get your coins off there" sentiment. I recommend that as well. Of course, I feel that way about Gemini as well. If you don't solely hold the keys it's not your Bitcoin. But I'm not going to start the doom and gloom when Armstrong has stated what the problem is and that they're working to fix it. This happens every price event. So does a backlog of transactions. It's traffic overload.

any evidence to support this other than the fact that you can never have complete control in a public exchange?

ive used coinbase since 2013 with no issue, while so many other exchanges have melted down. just got back into the game and was wondering about evidences as to why they cant be trusted?

Nothing outside of the regular FUD. I recommend buying and selling there like they're a broker, but don't hold. Again, if you don't solely hold the keys you don't own the bitcoin. But I wouldn't say they're not trustworthy at all. I've been using them for years as a broker and never had a problem.
