We are the only unbeaten team in the league in past 10 games. 10 points differential from the Chelsea, with 18 games to go. If we beat Liverpool, we would be maximum 3 points from second position.

What I don't understand is the people who wanted Chelsea win today. Are they new to the football? It does not take long for a team to lose form specially in the PL. Loss in the next game for Chelsea and the whole dimension changes. Have they forgotten that we lost the league after 8 pts lead with just 8 games remaining? We still have half the season left and we look like a proper team now. Also, we have games in hand with each of the teams above us. And some idiot United fan was asking me to use my brain when I said we need Chelsea to lose.

Edit: Let me make it clear that it is still a very very tough task but not unthinkable.

It's all based on a fear of Liverpool beating Chelsea to the title. I say fuck that, not with half the season to go.

Let's worry about that when it's 3 games to go, then I'll chear for Chelsea...if things stand in a simular way.

Liv will be 2 pts above us if we win our next game. If they fear Liv winning the title then we have got almost equal chance to win too.

I agree, I'd love to see us really going for the title this season. However, after the last few seasons I can see why many fans would be happy with top 4 and a genuine shot at the title next season.

Four months is a long time. A lot can happen. Chelsea could derail; we could continue this form and sail into the top four. Or the opposite could hapoen. I'll always back United, especially when we're starting to click, with the best active manager in the world.

I know right? A month ago people in this sub were writing off our chances of top four now we're 3 points off third place.

I'd rather we aim high and miss than be satisfied with top 4 and giving up on the title halfway through the season.

Yeah you can talk about 'loss in the next league game for Chelsea and the whole dimension changes' but the likelihood is they won't lose. They're still a great side, losing one game doesn't change that. We'd have to hope they lose 3 more games and us to win 3 more games than them just to be 1 point behind them.

This next month will be huge with Liverpool at home being our toughest game while Chelsea play at Liverpool and Arsenal at home. If we win the next month, we will be fighting for 1st if we are lucky or definitely 2nd place.

Anyone else feel like a lot of people on this sub are getting way ahead of themselves? Yes we're on a shit hot run but look at the teams we've played. Let's take it one game at a time. It wasn't long ago people were seriously questioning whether Jose is the right man for the job. It won't surprise me to see a full meltdown on here when our winning streak ends.
