I prefer bands like Devourment, Cattle Decapitation and Whitechapel myself, but any metal is good metal.

Also, anyone else have some she bitch try to tell you that your music is horrible while they listen to shit like gaga and minaj?

Slayer was one of the first bands I started listening to. They're one of my top 3 favourite bands.

I listen to a lot of powermetal. Manowar, Sabaton, Powerwolf, Hammerfall, Blind Guardian, Dream Evil... you know, that kind of stuff. I listen to a lot of 80s metal too like Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Dio, and all the cheesy hairmetal.

I've grown up in a metal oriented family and have been an avid black metal fan for a decade. Thanks to these I rarely have to listen to mainstream "music" that is brainwashing most men.
