A troubled star coming from a prestigious club off of an impressive World Cup campaign is about to leave Manchester United. Yes, he hasn't been impressive and the club really has no room for persistence with the player. I honestly feel that with the backing of a new manager he can succeed. The premier league may not be a perfect fit for him, but a change of scenery to Italy or Germany may be worth a shot. LVG bought him after taking a talented but aging Dutch squad to the World Cup finals. The team had a mix of young and old stars including the one who went to Liverpool (Wijnaldum) who were exceptionally managed by Van Gaal. The veterans of the squad were desperate to win and were boosted by the young blood resulting in a massive finish towards the end of the tournament. A lot is made of the attitude of Memphis but he is troubled (like many of us, everyone didn't grow up perfect). However, Jose did say he is a "fantastic boy, with great education" which means a lot. It's sad to see him fail, he just couldn't handle the pressure. It's not a matter of attitude or talent, just confidence. And at this moment he could not be afforded the time, look at Martial who was our best player last year find himself on the outside looking in. The squad is stacked and it's best he leaves, I think he will be good in the future.
