I started going to the gym prior to going my own way, but now that I am going my own way I've been focusing on my fitness and gym gains even more. I just wanted to share this with you guys and I guess offer a good source if you're struggling with gaining any chest strength!
About two months ago I couldn't even get a one rep max of 175lbs on my bench press. I was stressed at the time, in a failing relationship which I think had something to do with my lack of gym progress and I was feeling weak in general.
I weigh about 185 lbs and all of my other lifts are pretty solid. My bench has always been the exception and I've struggled with my weak chest for sometime now.
I started a program about a month ago exclusively for chest/ bench press called smolov jr and as of yesterday I was able to crank out 3 reps of 185! As you can imagine going from not even able to get 1 rep at 175 to 3 reps at 185 I was ecstatic!! Smolov jr is completely free, just google it! A definite game changer for me and I may continue to use it/ tweak it to see how much I can keep gaining.
This is your reminder, YOU CAN DO IT. You can make a positive change with some hard work! Keep going your own way and you'll find that you're going to progress in your own way.
