A lot of Man Utd fans would love to see Weigl,Casemiro,Ruben Neves,etc. join our club as a Carrick replacement , but what if the replacement is already at the club?

This might be an unpopular opinion but ever since Blind joined our club he's been one of our most consistent players on 3 different roles. I liked him since his debut game where he had like 98% passing accuracy and I always thought of him as a similar player to Carrick. He's not the tallest or the strongest player but his intelligence makes up for it,he's reading the play so well and his passing is amazing as well.

He kind of gets the title as the 'unsung hero' of last season just like Carrick did for all these years. Our defence looked very solid last season. In my eyes he is a perfect Carrick replacement because putting him in the center of the field will take a lot of pressure off his shoulders and also provide the right balance the side needs when Carrick's not playing.
