You have now been banned from /r/kaceytron

No but seriously wasnt she already banned before this, whats the difference.

As far as I can tell, it wasn't really a ban per se. I read the rules on the side before I posted anything and it says something along the lines of "think before you post, is it really a fail?"

With that in mind I didn't bother to post anything until maybe two months ago when she was throwing out insults of other streamers and such. I figured it fit in with what goes on around here, at least in the controversial sense.
I guess I won't be posting anything anymore.

Thanks for taking the time to think before posting. For me, a fail is usually something unexpected, like if you're boasting your skill immediately before getting killed, or technical failure.

I think her content was banned (more like her content was autodownvoted to oblivion due to being fake, then deleted by automod due to the "posts at 0 points after 8 hours" autorule). Then she brigaded the subreddit today, which led to drama and a ban now (along a report to the site admins for the brigading, which is a site-wide bannable ofense)

Wow, the salt over there is so real roflmao

I had(well, still do) an issue with the prior content ban just out of principal, but yea... You can't do shit like that and not expect to get at least a community-specific ban. If we look at it in the best light possible, as in intended to be a joke and get some spammy comments in, you're still appealing to outside users to go into a subreddit and act on your behalf.

I see vote manipulation being mentioned but TBH I don't see that in the linked video. To be clear I'm of the opinion that the people showing up to post "But yea she's right" are also more likely to vote a specific way. But in the past I can remember Reddit admins requiring an explicit appeal for votes specifically to meet the requirements of vote cheating/manipulation.

On your second point, yes exactly people that agree with her and post to that effect are also going to tend to upvote her comments, there is no direct call for votes.

You'd see the same thing of this subreddit's beloved streamers like tyler and ice were on this reddit while streaming. People would reply to them and upvote their comments, without any request made for vote participation.

I'm not a fan of either of those steamers, but I would say the situation is slightly different because fans of them happened to already be in the subscriber base of this subreddit (or became fans because of the subreddit) and upvoted their content and positive comments about them because of that.

She directly called on her fan base to go to a specific web page and post comments agreeing with her in order to make it seem like the subreddit was on her side.

You can see one of the ways this is different by looking at how many 1 day old accounts or accounts that had never been in this subreddit before were posting in that comment section. One situation has fans that make up a portion of the userbase, the other calls in fans from outside the userbase in order to skew the results and perception.

She directly called on her fan base to go to a specific web page and post comments agreeing with her in order to make it seem like the subreddit was on her side.

did she "directly" say that though? to me it sounded like she was expecting people to be sticking up for her, and there weren't people doing so.

No one cares what streamers you enjoy, people are free to criticize what they please.

There's a twitch clip of her stream mocking IRL streamers like KittyPlays, it's fair game for people here to say she's not that funny? It's not even an insult either.

Funny is completely subjective. And while he's allowed to have his subjective opinion, saying "I don't understand how people sit through it for months" is him imposing his taste and opinion on others. Stating that other people should like things he likes.

For all we know that fucker could like Nickelback.

I know it's an unwritten rule that "brigading" by linking to the site used to be shadow-bannable, but she didn't do that as far as I know. You can do anything you want on your subreddit though, and she deserves to be banned from here, but I don't see what she did that violates any sitewide rule.

Asking people to vote up or down certain posts, either on Reddit itself or through social networks, messaging, etc. for personal gain.

    https://vid.me/VOeO

She's asking people comment and in addendum upvote/downvote positive/negative comments.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree then without an actual rule. Is it allowed to advertise an AMA outside of reddit at all, asking for questions(obviously people will come and upvote, downvote as well). I understand what you're saying, but I think reddit's rules on brigading are pretty unclear and I was hoping for more insight.

I'm sorry I can't help you, but I can tell you that I've seen people banned off of reddit for less.

Usage has clearly shown that advertising posts could be grounds for brigading sanctions. That the rules are unclear and/or unevenly enforced doesn't change that.

What's more, this community in particular can suffer highly from Twitch brigading, what with the numbers a Twitch chat can bring and the pack effect it often has.

What's interesting is that in the first post which had no manipulation (because she brought no attention to the thread until the day after it was posted) has generally nice comments about her and everyone seems to be accepting of her there, but in this thread everyone did a 180 all of a sudden and it's the complete opposite.

It really just proves that when people on reddit don't know what is right or wrong, instead of forming their own opinions, they will just flock to the popular opinion in any given thread.

Guys someone help me, I don't want to post to /r/OutOfTheLoop. What the fuck is going on. I'm listenning to this vod for more than an hour, read an interview with her I found googling her name. So she's always acting like a "dumb bitch gamer girl" she and her watchers think it's funny, and some people don't get it, right? But she doesn't like that she's banned because she's fake even though that's the whole point of her twitch persona? But then she's bitching because she's not always in character but it's indistinguishable from when she is (around the one hour mark)?

When did the drama begin? With this post?

Basically, at one point Stream Fail Live didn't allow people purposefully failing to be on the subreddit because its not a fail in that way. Most people agreed with the rule so anything that seems faked or force end up being downvoted off twitter.

Recently Kacey did a stream for the end of the year and during that did a skit about what the IRL section would be about which was put on here, and liked and upvoted cause it made fun of the IRL section.

Kacey was told about this, and dedicated time in her stream to look at all the comments and reply to them. She was harassing and making fun of the people commenting on the original thread. THEN she wrong a message to a mod and started a fight with him about it as well as created a bunch of drama on the subreddit leading to her ban.

Lmao holy shit you are seriously butthurt over this. It was so simple to trigger you. She handled the situation professionally but you instead behaved like a child, so she then had free reign to say whatever she wanted because you have no backbone and hate being made fun of. Here, you have your one and only sense of power and purpose in the world. And in the end, it did nothing. She'll make another account. She doesn't care about internet updoots or whatever the fuck you losers call them. It makes no difference. You accomplished nothing and you simply wasted your time. Kaceytron won. You lost. Ban me, downdoot me, whatever. I didn't even know this subreddit existed until Kaceytron brought attention to it. You should honestly be thanking her for you being recognized. Bai, neckbeard.

Your post really makes me lean back in my chair in bewilderment and ask myself, "are people really this fucking autistic?". Your post confirms that.
