FA Cup 3rd round and League Cup up next.

1 game rest for De Gea, Valencia, Rojo, Herrera, Pogba, Mkhi, Martial.

2 game rest for Jones, Carrick, Zlatan.

Zlatan will defo play vs Hull as it is a semifinal. I hope we batter them and can play a second string in the second leg

I'm sure he will, but should he? Biggest game of the season 5 days later. Why not play 2nd string 1st leg?

Better chance of battering Hull at home and making it easy in the second leg. If we leave the big players out for Reading then play them against Hull and Liverpool then they will have a full week's rest before Hull then 4 days before Liverpool. Not a demanding schedule at all compared to the Christmas period. Both matches are at home so not even any travel is involved.

They then have almost a full week between Liverpool and Stoke. Our schedule really isn't too bad now until the EL gets going again.

Zlatan has played pretty much every game this season, I think he'll be fine.

I think Martial can go again since he was rested vs West Ham, and he hasn't played that much this season. I want to see both him and Rashford start at Old Trafford. But yeah Zlatan should definitely be on the bench for Reading.

De Gea is a goalie, I doubt he needs rest, but if Jose wants to give Romero a run-out, then it's not to give David a rest but to give Romero some playing time.

But yes in general, Jose needs to rotate wisely in the next couple of fixtures. Both are at home, we need to field a balance of enough firepower to win but getting our main guys some rest here and there aswell.

It's important to proceed in these cup competitions and win a couple or more trophies this season so we can keep breeding that United winning mentality. We've missed it.
