Female mate selection, as well as male mate selection (Elon Musk why do you keep marrying a bimbo who very obviously is just a gold digger), has atrophied completely over the years.

TL;DW: Our parents largely chose our marriage partners, and largely for "objective" reasons like their family is good, wealth, status, reputation, etc. This worked very well and has led to the society we have today.

However, recently in human history we have begun to embrace the idea of romance and choosing our own mates. This is a pleasant idea in theory, but doesn't really make sense in practice. How could someone who has never been married before, had kids, etc choose a good partner for it, or at least a better partner than our parents who HAVE done all those things. Now I'm not advocating parental choice for modern times, it worked extremely well previously, but now society keeps changing so rapidly its hard for parents to keep up, especially if your parents are immigrants. Still completely choosing on your own leads to "seduction" tactics that shouldn't normally work but do because of the flaws of having a single naive and very biased person make such a big decision. Guys go off marrying that hot girl even though she was a total slut and to everyone else is clearly manipulating him. Girls fall for the badboy who is just an alcoholic deadbeat and a pretty awful father.

Society right now is like someone who was disabled and spent their whole lives in a wheel chair, suddenly trying to walk. The real issue is the hubris society has about this. You have the media and everyone just constantly touting nonsense about "love", "romance" "do what your heart tells you" when in reality, we are fucking awful at selecting mates, and the people we are attracted to are often horrible choices for partners. Because of the media and it's hubris, society is not only trying to walk after being disabled forever, but tries to do a marathon in a desert immediately. No wonder divorce rates are so high.

I would argue female mate selection is considerably more atrophied than male mate selection as well. Females have had much less authority over who they marry for a longer historic period of time. So of course their mate selection is often absolutely insane when looked at objectively or logically.

Anyway this is really just propaganda for MGTOW liftestyle. Why live your life trying to appease an atrophied, primitive, and insane mate-selection paradigm when you can live your life pursuing higher goals.
