I'm in my 33 and I'm a resident/registrar physician (I'm in training), so I don't have much free time for anything.
My extended family on my mother's side rented a vacation house at a nearby beach for the holidays (and also it's the birthday of one of my cousins).
Several of my cousins were also present (I'm the oldest cousin from both my mother and father's side). I started play-wrestling with one of my cousins who is 25 (8 years younger than me) and exercises with weights and is visibly more muscular than me. I ended up cleaning the floor with him surprisingly easily.
As I stated earlier, I don't have much free time. I used to exercise much more when I was his age but as I stated earlier, my job prevents me from engaging other pursuits as often as I'd like (I'm in my last 6 months of training so I'll start exercising more once I'm done) and he is supposedly at his "peak physical age" in terms of athleticism.
I notice that many people here post how women hit the wall in their late 20's - early 30's (I personally find that women who put forth effort can delay the wall until their 40's, but I digress). While men may also hit "the wall", this experience just reinforces the idea that the wall is much later for men and we can get better at EVERYTHING with age into our 30's. My personal goal is to keep making physical, mental, and financial gains and see when the "real" wall is for a man (I'm guessing it'll probably be in my 60's before I start going downhill). Just wanted to share.
