Search Engine Optimization With Google Search Console

Saturday, December 24, 2016 No Comment

SEO, Search Engine Optimization is a very important aspect of aspiring great webmasters. There are some basic SEO terms we may need to know to understand the word fully.
Crawling and indexing are two important SEO terms. You probably have an idea of these terms if you have been in the web world for a while. The entire web depends on Google Crawling and Indexing.

A definition of this term with reference to Google
Crawling: crawling occurs when Google visits your website for the purpose tracking. This is done by Google’s Spider crawler. In the SEO world, crawling means moving around your website. Whenever bots come to your website
(any page), they follow other linked pages also on your website.
We create sitemaps to aid crawling as they contain all of the links in our blog and
Google’s bots can use them to look deeply into a website.
To stop crawling parts of our websites, we use Robots.txt file

Indexing: Indexing takes place after crawling has been done, the results gets placed in Google's search engine. It is the process of adding webpages into Google search. Depending on the meta tag used, (index tag means Google should crawl and index your pages, no-index tag means that
Google should not crawl and index your pages into the web search’s index).

Let only important parts of your blog or website get indexed if you want to rank higher in search engines. Indexing unnecessary archives like tags, categories, and all other less important pages will affect your blog ranking.

Factors Affect Crawling:
The amount of websites online are so much that not everyone is satisfied with the crawling and indexing rate because a whole lot of  persons are left out, constantly wondering why their articles aren’t getting indexed.

These are some major factors that play some important roles at the backend of
crawling and indexing.

Domain Name; Your domain name matters alot, know that now if you dont... Since the Google Panda update, domain name importance has risen significantly. Your Domains should include the main keyword of your niche since such domains are given importance recently.
It isn't new that the crawling rate is higher for domains that have a good Page Rank.

Backlinks also aid indexation, The more backlinks you have , the more trustworthy and reputable you become in the eyes of search engines.
You can have good rankings but if you aren’t getting any backlinks for your site, search engines may assume that you have low quality content.

Internal Linking is as important as backlinking, it is also known as deep linking. you should use the same anchor text within the same article as it helps in the deep crawling of a site. Internal linking is a good practice, not just for SEO, but also for maintaining active users on your website.

Once you setup a website you should always use an XML sitemap so that your sitemap can be auto-generated. This way, Google will be informed that your site has been updated and will want to crawl it.

.
Try not to have any duplicate content on your site. Fix all of your 301 and 404 re-directs for even better crawling and SEO.

Create SEO friendly URLs for each page on your site, as it is important for proper SEO.

Have unique and non-competitive meta tags for your website. This will ensure that you have top ranking in search engines.

Add all the main ping sites to your site if you use WordPress. It has an auto-pinging feature which will inform search engines about your website’s updates.

Once you optimize your website following these factors, Google will surely crawl and index your page faster and more accurately.

What is a Vlog?
A Vlog is a blog in which the postings are primarily in video form. Thus, a vlog is a video blog. One of the best places to start a vlog is "YouTube".

Blogging is more appreciated than Vlogging (That's why everyone wants to blog!) and most people want to become bloggers and not vloggers.
But we don't all have to ignore vlogging for blogging, besides you can run both...

About YouTube
You've probably heard a lot about YouTube and in one way or the other you have watched a video on YouTube...  In case you don't know, YouTube is a Large video sharing site, owned by google!

About Vlogging
The Good thing you probably didn't know about vlogging is that it isn't really saturated and vloggers are easily approved by the popular AdSense unlike bloggers!

How To Interlink Old Posts To Engage Users More

Thursday, December 15, 2016 2 Comments
If you've noticed, I almost always post my contents with some interlinkings to my older blog posts. This is something I learnt while trying to figure out how to get to the top genuinely. and I honestly have noticed its importance and I want you to also have an insight of why this practice is important.

Don't just write a blog post and promote it on social media sites, forums, blog, and etc. you will definitely get visitors but it will be for that blog post alone. Your visitors may mange to take a look at 2-3 more posts then leave without looking back.

What is interlinking?
Interlinking is the of making links within a blog or a website. interlinking is an addition of links that connect two pages of a same website.  This link is a simple example of internal linking; as a part of SEO strategy. I just made a link to another page of this blog and that would navigate crawlers as well as users to that page.

How does Interlinking help in user experience and SEO?

1. Further Reading:
It should be your primary motive to publicize older posts of your blog by interlinking it to your new blog posts and also to provide user further reading
options and suggestions on where they can explore related topics in your blog.
The Related Posts section at the end of your blog posts will not have the same success rate that a link in the main article has.

2. Increased Visitor engagement and pageView:
interlinking helps in keeping visitors for a longer time, your pageviews will increase when you use this kind of strategy.

3. SEO:
Interlinking your old articles will help you in increasing page rank of your internal pages. It will also helps in building the relevancy of a page to a keyword phrase by which you are linking your article to. update some of your old articles too, because the visitor that go from you main article to your older linked article may leave your blog there but if you provide interlinking at your older pages too than again the chain continues.

Healthy Interlinking
1. While interlinking makes use of good relevant keywords to the article, you’re linking to.
2. Try to link only relevant posts and only if its necessary don’t overload your post.
