If there's a war with Russia it will be after Trump and Putin get into a room together and their giant egos clash.
What happened today is not a prelude to a shooting war. Russia interferes with elections (well it's not like the US doesn't, but anyway), and the US has the capability to hit back. They knew that going in and none of this is a surprise to them.
