All I'm trying to say is that just because the crime has ended, and it ended a lot less than 150 years ago, doesn't mean the ramifications ended. For example until the mid 20th century the highest level of education taught in many reservations was a sixth grade level. Because of this native Americans were not afforded the same opportunity to compete in the free market. This obviously has a trickle down effect to their children because children of the wealthy are more likely to be successful and because of this and many other reason the majority of the native population lives in crippling poverty. In fact the situation of the reservations is not so different from the rural towns Trump has promised to use government funds to help, so I don't see how you can argue that other people are not entitled to believe it morally correct to use their own, earned, charitable funds to help the people stuck on reservations have the same chance at opportunity that is what made America different and better throughout history.
