Hey Kickstarters,
Thanks for checking out our project! We are super excited to launch the Z-Torque bicycle crank, a patented design giving you the ability to generate more power over standard crank designs. This is achieved with the angled crank arm design which works on the simple principles of leverage and inertia. By re positioning the pedal in the manor in which we have, you now have a greater portion of the pedal rotation to generate power earlier and later than with a standard straight crank arm.

We recently teamed up with a machinist to manufacturer them out of billet aluminum which has resulted in some stunning results however this process is both time consuming and very expensive. To make the Z-Torque more affordable and within reach to a greater audience we knew we needed to find a cheaper and quicker way to make them. That is why we have turned to composites... We first built a simple mold out of everyday composite materials like gel coats, resins and fiberglass to prove the concept. The results were impressive and stronger than we could have imagined. (This prototype can be seen in the video) We have now created a mold to incorporate the iconic ladder structure of our aluminum Z-Torque crank and are ready to make them out of carbon fiber.

HOWEVER ONCE THE CRANKS ARE READY TO BE SHIPPED WE WILL WORK WITH YOU TO INSURE YOU HAVE EVERYTHING YOU NEED OR IF YOU PREFER TO HAVE THEM INSTALLED ANY BIKE SHOP SHOULD BE ABLE TO ASSIST.
