Yeah, the AI cheats and I can prove it, but why bother? I can start games and show in screenshots just as easily that the AI always has an army size that's bigger in this scenario. Who knows why
/u/homemadepanda
is seeing differently - maybe it's because
he
used the console to make sure it worked out in his favor?
Point is, go do some experiments and see for yourself. The AI is able to do things a player simply can not do - especially in the first couple months of a fresh start. If I play as Leon, I will almost always lose my wars with neighbors - even when I have superior (1000+) higher troop totals. They will make alliances with other kingdoms that, if I were to play as their kingdom, I would be unable to ally with so quickly.
I don't really intend on continuing to discuss this, and actually I'm a little surprised that it created such a 'controversy.' AI cheating in games isn't anything new, and if you weren't a coder for paradox (and aren't willing to perform experiments diligently) you really can't just be like, 'oh yeah, the AI doesn't cheat, you just suck at this game' which is apparently what the cult community here likes to respond with.
If paradox themselves haven't actually discussed it, then it's a possibility that everyone who plays CK2 has to accept.
