About this project
The Black and white series was a great game made by Lionhead studios in the early 2000's. unfortunately the series was all but forgotten after two releases and an expansion pack. The game allows you to control an entire civilization building homes and fields to grow crops, assigning jobs to each of your citizens, and finding a way to conquer your enemies. Will you be a good god, and build the most impressive city around, causing enemies to simply join you? Will you be an evil god, building the biggest armies to crush your enemy into submission? Whatever you choose the game will give you what you need to succeed. Watching the landscape change around you as you go from a loving and caring deity, to a murderous hell machine bent on destruction and woe to all who oppose you. My plan is to design a game inspired by this, using modern tools and game engines. My goal is to reboot the god game genre!
I plan to implement many new features and a fresh take on the story line, some key aspects that I will be implementing are, Co-op multiplayer, a 1st person mode allowing you to get down and dirty and fight, mine, harvest, and even build your own godly palace.
I am also trying to figure out a way to implement an AI government system. The details are still fuzzy, so I'll update with more as I figure out what I want.
I plan to incorporate a custom asset editor, to allow players to truly shape the world in any style they so desire.
I am always looking for any help on my project, If you have any skills you would like to bring to the table, I fully intend on incorporating, and building an employee owned company. If you are interested, tell me what you have to offer, and we can move forward with a brand new company building the games that people WANT.
Risks and challenges
I want to bring together a team, and build a game from scratch, this will be a huge undertaking, and I will accept nothing but the best. If I wouldn't pay for it, I don't expect anyone else to.

I've decided instead of adding to a previous series, I'd rather take inspiration from them, and pull together my own title that reboots the entire genre!

I'm currently comparing schools for computer programming and game design. Part of the funds raised here will help pay for my schooling so I can personally contribute as much as possible to his game, and the gaming community.
