Drexel University professor George Ciccariello-Maher (@ciccmaher on Twitter) posted a tweet with a joke "All I want for Christmas is White Genocide." Obviously poking fun at the Nazi fantasy of "White Genocide." Well now the Nazis have contacted his employer (Drexel University) and Drexel has tweeted that they will be speaking with Professor Ciccariello-Maher about this matter. I ask that everyone here emails and tweets to Drexel showing support for processor Ciccariello-Maher. We can't let the fascists harass our comrades and cause them to lose their job.

As an aside to all this, this is another symptom of the empowered alt-right. So comrades, please be careful about your safety. The alt-right has already featured an article on this sub, and are always actively looking for ways to destroy anyone who doesn't agree with their bigoted world view. Remember, these are dangerous times, and the last couple months have proven how far these people will go.

Hell, "Political Correctness" has not become a politically correct term. Originally it meant a phrase that was essentially used as a euphemism in order to come off as more polite and get away with passing or allowing certain governmental policies and branches to continue. Examples of this would be things like "Advanced Interrogation Techniques" as a euphemism for torture, or if you want a literary example, any of the ministries from Orwell's 1984, such as the "Ministry of Peace" being the politically correct name for the department of war.

So now "politically correct" has become one of those politically correct euphemisms, translating to basically meaning "not being an asshole". But, because of how the right-wing propagates itself and twists the meaning of free-speech, as well as the smug appeal to moderation that liberals have, anything deemed "PC" ends up being criticized without any real solid reasoning, anything attacking anti-"PC" groups (e.g. Nazis, alt-right, etc.) ends up being criticized as anti-free speech somehow, and anything that protects or facilitates "free speech" is somehow made out to be the next best thing since sliced bread.

To everyone wondering why comments are being removed: we have zero tolerance for shitty reactionary concern trolling over the so called "White Genocide". White genocide is the joke of a conspiracy theory that Jews are manipulating the western world (Europe, Canada, and the US) into importing and empowering minorities and using the media to undermine white masculinity so that white women reproduce with non-white men, tarnishing pure white blood and destroying civilization. It is supremely racist, anti-Semitic, fascist, and sexist.

When you make your weak ass posts crying that this professor and other leftists shouldn't make jokes about this Nazi myth, you defend it. That is, obviously, unacceptable.

For those of you who are furiously typing your reply "Genocide is no joke! Don't give them any ammo! We don't want to actually lead to a real white genocide!" (many of the comments I have removed) my response is two fold:

  1. Fuck you

  2. What are the mechanics of this real white genocide? How will dispossessed, poor, and politically repressed minorities carry out a campaign of extermination against the majority people of the most powerful countries in the world? What means will they leverage to eliminate the 80% of the western world that is white? To act like it is even a possibility (much less that jokes by white communists will lead to it) can only be taken as a wildly reactionary stance. This returns to point 1: Fuck you.
